About Us

The Lumberyard Condos are a tribute to Rice Lumber Co., which was known as a major provider of lumber and supplies to local mines and businesses from 1892 to the 1990's. The actual lumberyard was on the ground level, now converted to three 2BR/2BA suites. And the 2nd level was housing for the owners, and now consists of a 3BR/2BA suite, as well as a 2BR/1BA suite. 

If you've never been here, Ouray is a small town, about 4 blocks wide and 9 blocks long.  Known as the "Switzerland of America", we are completely surrounded by tall majestic mountains. There's not a bad view in town! (although WE have the BEST views!)
Our building has 5 fully equipped units; 3 on the ground floor and 2 on the second floor.  All units have a full kitchen and laundry. The grassy side yard is nice for relaxing in the sun and both charcoal and gas grills are located nearby for use.  We are conveniently located in town and close to both shopping and restaurants.  The Box Canyon and Ouray Ice Park (winter) walk-in access is less than a block from our door.  No need to drive anywhere.  We also have plenty of trailer parking. 

Our non-smoking condos are located 2 blocks from the Million Dollar Highway (Hwy 550) or Main Street, along the Uncompahgre River, in beautiful Ouray, Colorado. Each of our fully furnished condos have a different theme as a nod to the activities the area is known for: The Hot Springs, The Amphitheater, The Crawler, The Ice Axe, & The Nordic.
